Hello my dear newbies andwelcome to EMW!
After long discussions Teknoman and me finally figured out how to handle EMW. So, here we go:
1. EMW is now text-based
Yes, for some people it might be dissapointing, but just imagine how much work does it take to record a show. I have to get a friend here, then we've gotta record the show. Record whole matches takes about 1 hour and record just spots of the matches takes about 2 hours, because you have to plan these. Cutting the video together is pretty easy, but the rendering takes about 2 hours and in these 2 hours I can't use my PC. And then, I have to upload this thing. And guess what, I can't watch any streaming stuff because of the upload.
Making EMW a video-based fed, might sound cool, but causes a lot of trouble for the booker and nobody is actually watching the whole show, because these are just boring Wrestling Encore matches, so screw it.
2. Users write their matches themselves
Yes, that might sound like we are lazy asses, and maybe we are. But there is actually a pretty good reason, why the users have to write shows. A lot of times users have complained, that his wrestler always have to win with his finisher or that another wrestler never loses by submission. See, if I record the matches in WEncore, I can't know that. So when a user writes the match, he is the character and not a polygon model...
3. Submitting the matches
1. Depending on the promos a matchcard will be created and posted.
2. A user writes a match and sends it to his opponent. The oppnonet tells the writer what has to be changed. After he has done this, the match can be sent to me.
Attention: If the opponent doesn't respond after 3 days, the show must be sent immediatly to me.
4. Promos
THis is very basic. Just shoot someone in the Promo-Section and get a match. Very easy.
5. Signing EMW
Just send a PM to me with a picture of your character and some infos about him and I'll add him to the roster.
These are the rules guys, so keep writing!
