Welcome to the MDT (MPire Detail Templates) Download & Tutorial Thread. This lists every step of modding a complete superstar utilizing the MDT package. If you have any questions, feel free to post them.

Why did I make the MDTs you ask? I felt that the TWC3 Era DTTs were getting old and boring, so we needed something new and fresh. The MDTs all include a New Lighting layer set, that you can enable or disable if you want your superstars to better match the MPMA. The package was made by me, T-Neck. However, I must give credit to Trav for the custom body textures. He did a nice job with it, so we shouldn't see as many repetitive bodies. So, let's begin the tutorials.
These tutorials assume that you have Photoshop. Whether you've bought it or are using the trial, it doesn't matter. It is also assumed that you have some basic knowledge of Photoshop. There are a few things I will often refer to, so I will explain them.
Hue/Saturation Window (Ctrl+U)
Layers Window
"Color" layer: For convenience, attire sets will have a "Color" layer available, as pictured above. You will use these layers to modify the color.
Changing the color of an object (1): To change the color of a layer, select the "Color" layer. Then, simply press Ctrl+U and you will see the Hue/Saturation window (pictured above). Use the Hue slider to adjust the color, and the Saturation layer to adjust how intense or subdued the color is. Make sure the Preview box is checked, so you can check to see how the color looks.
Changing the color of an object (2): If you have already sampled an attire color from a photograph, you can also change the color by holding Ctrl and clicking the "Color" layer of a set, then using the fill tool to paint in the color.
Changing the Opacity of a layer: If you need to change the opacity of a layer, click the percentage box (highlighted above in red) and adjust the value. You can enter a numeric value, use the middle mouse button scroll to change the value, or click the arrow to use a slider for easy adjusting.
Layer Sets: These are folders which contain multiple layers inside (highlighted above in blue). Click the arrow next to them to open or close the folder.
Some are locked folder layers named "Adjustments", so DO NOT modify these or any locked layer. I have tweaked everything to keep skin tones and detail consistent, so only modify unlocked items or what the tutorial instructs you to change.
Enabling/disabling layers: To enable or disable a layer, click the eyeball (or empty square) next to the layer name.
