Face This is the tutorial for the Face MDT. The file is titled "MDT Face.psd". The Face MDT may be the most enjoyable thing to modify, due to the amount of options available to you. Who doesn't like modding faces? First, go to the "Face Base" layer set. You will see two options: Bald and Stubble. Enable the one you want to use and disable the other. Next, go to the "Skin Tone" layer set. Ideally, you have 9 possible preset skin tones to choose from. This screenshot better illustrates what I'm talking about. Select either Caucasian, Asian, or Pale as your base skin tone. Like in Wrestling MPire '08, you can enable a skin overlay which will darken the skin tone. Make sure you're only enabling one of the overlays. Therefore, your choices are: Caucasian... Caucasian & Tan Overlay... Caucasian & Dark Overlay Asian... Asian & Tan Overlay... Asian & Dark Overlay Pale... Pale & Tan Overlay... Pale & Dark Overlay You'll have to use common sense to artistically decide what combination looks like what ethnicity, since I couldn't name every specific combination. NOTE for TWC4 only: If you're modding for TWC4, then you will still need to apply the overlay to the face texture for darker superstars. The other body parts will not require the overlay, as the game applies it automatically. Next, go to the "Custom Face" layer set. You'll choose from multiple cheeks, noses, chins, eyes, mouths, and foreheads to build a face, and add additional details like freckles or pimples if you feel the need to. The idea is to open the sub-layer sets (Details, Cheeks, Nose, Chin, Eyes, Mouth, Forehead) and enable one of the items in each of those sets. For instance, if you wanted Forehead 3 instead of the default Forehead 1, you would disable #1 and enable #3. Simple as that. You're just disabling and enabling what you need. Next, go to the "Hair" layer set. You'll see a Hairstyle and Facial Hair set. Let's start with the facial hair. With the exception of the Beard layers, the color of the facial hair is black. Enable whichever layers you need. The Hairstyle set is a different story. You have 4 different hair colors to choose from. They all have the same hairstyles, so you won't be missing out if you pick one hairstyle over the other. Open the hair color of your choice. Enable the layers you need. The Emo Bang is meant to be applied over a hairstyle. If you want to go for that look, enable that layer along with the hairstyle of your choice. Next, go to the "Headwear" layer set. You may want to preview the three items available to decide what you want to enable... whether it's one, all three, or none. If you enable the Beanie, you can change the Upper and Lower Color layers with Ctrl+U. If you enable the Glasses, you can change the Glasses Color with Ctrl+U. You will also need to enable one of the Lens layers. If you enable the Headband, you can change the Color layer with Ctrl+U. Finally, decide whether you will enable the New Lighting layer set for your character or not. Some eFeds such as TMT and SPW aren't using the new lighting, so you'll want to save your character without it if you want to join those feds or are updating your superstar. However, MMW uses the new lighting and TWC4 will utilize it. After that, you can save your JPEG texture. It is preferred to save it at High (8) quality or above. Enabling optimize can keep the filesize down a bit. That ends the face tutorial. Thanks for reading.

Body This is the tutorial for the Body MDT. The file is titled "MDT Body.psd". The Body MDT involves a fair share of color changing, depending on how intricate you get with your attire. First, go to the "Custom Body" layer set. You can customize the appearance of your superstar's collar bone, pecs, abs, back, and add other elements to his body. The idea is to open the sub-layer sets (Collar Bone, Pecs, Abs, Back, Misc.) and enable one of the items in each of those sets. For instance, if you wanted Abs 3 instead of the default Abs 1, you would disable #1 and enable #3. Simple as that. You're just disabling and enabling what you need. NOTE for TWC4 only: If you're modding for TWC4, then you will not need to apply the overlay to the body texture for darker superstars. The game will do that itself, based on what skin tone you select. At this point, you would add any tattoos to your texture (if you have any), utilizing Photoshop's many Blending Options. Next up is the fun part. Go to the "Attire Base" layer. You'll see that you have 4 choices: Suit Top, Leather Vest, T-Shirt, and Tanktop. If you want a Tanktop, open the layer set and you'll see that you have 5 styles of tanktops to choose from. Enable the one you prefer and open its set. All tanktops have Color layers that you can modify with Ctrl+U. Most tanktops have a Trim & Color layer that you can enable or disable (if you don't want a trim outline). You can also change its color with Ctrl+U. If you need a referee styled tanktop, disable the other color layers and enable the Referee Color layer. If you want a T-Shirt, open the layer set. You can change the Base Color and Collar Color layers with Ctrl+U. If you need a referee styled T-shirt, disable the other color layers and enable the Referee Color layer. If you want a Leather Vest, open the layer set. You can change the Color layer with Ctrl+U. If you need a referee styled vest, disable the Color layer and enable the Referee Color layer. If you want a Suit, open the layer set. You can change the Suit Color, Tie Color, and Undershirt Color layers with Ctrl+U. If you want some subtle, slick stripe stitching on your suit, leave the Stripe Design layer enabled. Otherwise, disable it. Next up is something optional. Go to the "Attire Design" layer and open the layer set. Here, you can add a pattern along the sides of your attire. After you preview the designs, select one you wish to use. You can change the color of the design with Ctrl+U. Keep in mind that the same designs are available on the Tights MDT and the Legs MDT. From here on, you would add any tattoos to your texture (if you have any), utilizing Photoshop's many Blending Options. That ends the body tutorial. Thanks for reading.

Arms This is the tutorial for the Arms MDT. The file is titled "MDT Arms.psd". Editing the Arms MDT is pretty straightforward. If your character doesn't need any sleeves, then you won't need to spend as much time with this MDT. First, go to the "Base" layer set. You'll see two layers, Arm Veins Detail and Muscle Detail. You'll need to change the opacity of these layers for them to work. The Muscle layer obviously makes the arm appear more ripped. The Arm Veins Detail allows you to adjust how much the veins will show up in a character's arm. Steroid users should have a higher opacity percentage. NOTE for TWC4 only: If you're modding for TWC4, then you will not need to apply the overlay to the arm texture for darker superstars. The game will do that itself, based on what skin tone you select. At this point, you would add any tattoos to your texture (if you have any), utilizing Photoshop's many Blending Options. Next, go to the "Accessories" layer set. You have a choice an Elbow Pad, Taping, Leather Band and Wrist Band. I'm referring to them singularly, since this is only one arm texture. Keep that in mind. For the Taping, Leather Band and Wrist Band, you can change their color using the Color layer. Select it, then hit Ctrl+U to adjust the color. For the Elbow Pad, you have a choice between Type A (Squared/Taped) and Type B (Rounded). You can use the Darkness Adjust layer to decide how dark or bright your pad will be, by changing the opacity. You can use Ctrl+U to change the Main Color layer. If you want a Stripe outline on your pad, enable or disable the Stripe layer. You can change its color using Ctrl+U. Next, go to the "Sleeves" layer set. Depending on what you chose for your Body MDT attire, you'll have to select something that matches it. T-Shirt and Long match the T-Shirt; Dress matches the Suit Top. All sleeves have a Color layer. Change it with Ctrl+U. The T-Shirt and Long sleeves have a referee sleeve overlay. If you need a referee styled sleeve, disable the Color layer and enable the Referee Color layer. For the dress sleeve, if you want some slick stripe stitching on your sleeve, leave the Stripe Design layer enabled. That ends the arms tutorial. Thanks for reading.

Tights This is the tutorial for the Tights MDT. The file is titled "MDT Tights.psd". The Tights MDT can be very enjoyable to modify, depending what lengths you'll go to get your attire looking snazzy. First, go to the "Base" layer set. You'll see a Muscle Level layer. You'll need to change the opacity of this layer for it to work. The Muscle Level layer obviously makes the leg appear more (or less) ripped. NOTE for TWC4 only: If you're modding for TWC4, then you will not need to apply the overlay to the leg texture for darker superstars. The game will do that itself, based on what skin tone you select. Now, go to the "Tights" layer set. You'll need to select a length to continue. Your choices are Short, Average, Semi-Long, or Long. If your superstar is wearing boots, you won't be able to see the difference between Semi-Long and Long. In your chosen tights layer set, Open the "Base" sub-set. You'll see that there's a Color layer. Select it, and hit Ctrl+U to change the color. Once you've chosen a color, you can open the "Design" sub-set. Here, you can add a pattern along the sides of your attire. After you preview the designs, select one you wish to use. You can change the color of the design with Ctrl+U. Keep in mind that the same designs are available on the Body MDT and the Legs MDT. Now, go to the "Knee Pads" layer set. You have a choice between Type A (Squared/Taped) and Type B (Rounded). You can use the Darkness Adjust layer to decide how dark or bright your pads will be, by changing the opacity. You can use Ctrl+U to change the Main Color layer. If you want a Stripe outline on your pads, enable or disable the Stripe layer. You can change its color using Ctrl+U. Now, go to the "Boots" layer set. You'll need to select a boot length to continue, in the "Length" sub-set. You'll find that there are Color and Darkness layers for both the base and the top of the boot. Edit these accordingly (Ctrl+U for the color; opacity change for the darkness.) Next up is the "Bottom/Tip" sub-set. You have a choice between Type A (thin inset at the bottom; small tip) and Type B (thick inset at the bottom; large tip). You can change the Color layer inside each type with Ctrl+U. From here on, you would add any logos or text to your texture (if you have any), utilizing Photoshop's many Blending Options. That ends the tights tutorial. Thanks for reading.

Legs This is the tutorial for the Legs MDT. The file is titled "MDT Legs.psd". The Legs MDT is compatible with the Legs and Shorts models in The MPire 2008 series. Otherwise, the attire will look more form fitting. First, go to the "Base" layer set. You'll see a Muscle Level layer. You'll need to change the opacity of this layer for it to work. The Muscle Level layer obviously makes the leg appear more (or less) ripped. NOTE for TWC4 only: If you're modding for TWC4, then you will not need to apply the overlay to the legs texture for darker superstars. The game will do that itself, based on what skin tone you select. Now, go to the "Footwear" layer set. You'll see that there is a "Socks" sub-set. You can enable or disable this, depending on whether you need socks. You can change the color of the stripe by selecting the Color layer and hitting Ctrl+U. If you need to change the length of the socks, then select the actual Socks layer folder, and move the socks up and down with the mouse or arrow keys. You'll need to select a length to continue, in the "Length" sub-set. (If your superstar is not wearing shorts, setting the length is pointless.) You'll find that there are Color and Darkness layers for both the base and the top of the boot. Now, go to the "Pants" layer set. If you want shorts, go to the "Shorts" layer set. Basically, you'll enable whichever material of clothing you'll need. Both are practically the same (in terms of what you can change), so I'll address them both below. Your choices are Jeans, Athletic, and Dress/Khakis. All types of attire have Color layers you can change with Ctrl+U. The Jeans also have Color Tanning layers that you can adjust. If you're only using a different hue of blue for the jeans, then it's best to leave those layers alone. For the Dress Pants/Khakis, if you want some slick stripe stitching on your sleeve, then enable the Stripe Design layer. Next up is something optional. Go to the "Design" layer and open the layer set. Here, you can add a pattern along the sides of your attire. After you preview the designs, select one you wish to use. You can change the color of the design with Ctrl+U. Keep in mind that the same designs are available on the Tights MDT and the Body MDT. Now, go to the "Belt" layer set. You can enable or disable the belt layer, and you can change the color of it. Open the "Base" sub-set and select the Color layer. Hit Ctrl+U and adjust the color. Under the "Buckle" sub-set, you can also select a belt buckle to use. Their colors vary. That ends the legs tutorial. Thanks for reading.

Hair This is the tutorial for the Hair MDT. The file is titled "MDT Hair.psd". The Hair MDT is the easiest thing to modify. All you're doing is enabling and disabling layers. First, go to the "Hair Type" layer set. Select either Straight (ideal for long hair) or Curly (ideal for short hair). Next, you'll select one of the preset hair colors. You can also set up a custom hair color by choosing the Custom layer and pressing Ctrl+U. Or... you can always stick with that nice default blue color. Finally, decide whether you will enable the New Lighting layer set for your character or not. If you are not, keep the Normal Lighting enabled. Otherwise, disable the Normal Lighting and enable the New Lighting. That ends the hair tutorial. Yep, that's all. Thanks for reading.
